  • who here plays soccer video games like fifa or pro evolution?

  • I own both, every year i get the latest versions. i usauly play fifa more simply becuase of the licensed clubs, names, stadia, and everything else. Plus the graphics look a little more realistic. Not saying that though, Pro evo is climbing mountinz' every year, and the more and more licenses they get it can only make it better. i believe pro evo has the upper hand on the game play, lets face it the game play is what maters, but the fifa gameplay is getting better every year.

Kim, do you like ac milan simply becuase they are the european metrostars??? by that i mean the metroz kit is more or less the milan kit.

Oh and can any one tell me what fc dallas stands for??? i think they changed there name from dallas fire or burnz... something like that.

  • I love AC Milan but I never get to see them play that often, even though I did go to see them when they were in Philly for that Champions World thing. On top of MLS at the moment is Colorado, don't ask me how that happens no one really seems to know except the guys on the team, I think it'll all change in a few weeks though it always does.

  • I don't know how recently it came out, but the FIFA Euro Championships 2004 game is awesome. It's graphically more advanced, and way more challenging then FIFA 2004. I highly recommend it, and its only like $35. If FIFA 2005 is anything like the Euro game, I'll be pumped.

  • So do you think in the the next 4 or 5 years the fc dallas will try and be the out and out best in mls, then try and join the champions league every year and get the europeans vote by having (football club) in the name? coz i dont think they could grow outside america if they were called dallas st, as in soccer team. do you think thats why they went for the name?

the t.v station think you can speak italian??? i find it soo boring readin the sub titles at the bottem of the screen durin some european flicks. you have to read realy fast, as well as looking at whats happening in the movie as well.

  • i got it durin the euros to me it wasnt as good as i thought, fifa 2005 is going to be alot better, ive been reading stuff on it, theres better ball control and players now feel like they do in real life, by that i mean if your gerrard he will play like gerrard, be able to do the things gerrard can do. or if your beckham, you will be able to fire a 50 yard pass up the pitch. ive been reading how players like henry and ronaldinho will be unstopable. its what a footy game needs now. because i dont no if any one notices but if your a crapy player on a team with a sh1t rating, he can still score a 30yard pack, a sort of 'goal of the season' goal. now this has been sorted out, players can only do what they can do in real life.
Plus everything has been improved anyway like it has been every year, better skills, passes, touches.... all the stuff we need for a more realistic game.

  • I play the EA Sports FIFA series when it comes out every year. I am guessing in November the new one will come out. Fun stuff. Also, Championship Manager, a computer game, is quite fun and entertaining as well.

  • I do, I don't own them but I rent them from Blockbuster all the time. Still not the same as watching an actual game but it doesn't stop me from spending the whole afternoon doing it. I keep meaning to buy them but there's always some CD I want more, and the CD's are cheaper.

  • I love AC Milan but I never get to see them play that often, even though I did go to see them when they were in Philly for that Champions World thing. He was asking who the current champions are. They are the San Jose Earthquakes.

  • It's still gonna be the same team as the Dallas Burn which I've never seen anything that spectacular out of and I don't think them changing their name will make them any better. All I can say about MLS 4 or 5 years from now will be it'll be better since I don't know who the guys on all these youth teams are and I don't really care that much. No one really knows why they chose FC but most people don't really care, the new logo looks ridiculous though it looks like some football team. I heard a bunch of teams are planning on changing their names though even though the name won't to much to effect their playing just the uniforms they wear.

The station played the games in Italian so there were no subtitles even though I have no problem with subtitles, you don't really notice them after awhile, of course in a soccer game it'd be kinda annoying because you'd miss like half the game. Announcers never say anything important anyways.

  • FC Dallas is the same as any FC, football club, which is really gonna confuse some of the NFL junkies if they ever hear about because they're gonna think they have another team. I know I don't give football players or anyone who watches football any credit as far as inteligence goes.

I like AC Milan for more than the kits it just happens to be that they have the same kits as the metros do, well actually it's the other way around because I think Milan had them first. I actually do like to watch them play and I'm really pissed off that the station I watched them on replaced Italian soccer for Italian movies, they look like really bad movies too.

  • I used to love FIFA when it came out but it is way to arcadey and cookie cutter. Anyone can do a raibow kick, and you find yourself dominating the game vs the CPU in a matter of minutes.

Konami's Winning Eleven series is the best sports game ever made IMO. It perfectly captures the essence of footy and its nuances. Many games even end 1-0 or 0-0, and you really have to create your opportunities with patience and buildup. Once i played Winning Eleven 6 i threw away my FIFA games.

The only letdown is the lack of licenses, but WE8, out in Japan now and coming to Europe in OCtober and the US in Feb 05 will have licensed English, Duth and Italian clubs.

Try it out. You will be amazed.

  • kim.. do you support a european team?
anyway about mls, who is the champions at the moment?
