Does anyone know if it is possible to embed windows media player into flash?
The bottom line of what i need is as follows:
Embed streawming video
Full Screen Option, (With Easy funtionality, Like a button)
Any Ideas?
Also to make it more complicated, the content on this template would be dynamicly loaded from our php scripts. Am I crazy? Am I dreaming =)? I hope flash can answer my problem =).so you can set your flash to fullscreen,
but you couldn't set to fullscreen the FLV in it?:h:If you want to stream video, you're going to have to fork out for Flash Communication Server (or Flash Media Server as the next version is gonna be called)
It's possible to encode to .flv "live" on your server, but I don't have any experience with that.
Check osflash.net, they're working on an open source option called red5.
By the way, you can't embed windows media player in flash to answer your first question. *thanks god*Not trying to diss your idea but it's kinda like putting truck tires on a Saleen 7. You'd be a lot better off if you can convert your video source to Flash video (flv). It streams faster, has better quality and is much lighter.no, i cant even get fullscreen to work, only thing i know of is the "View" > "Fullscreen" option. I tried to use the fscommand ("fullscreen","True") but that didnt work. Any ideas?if you show your flash in an explorer window.. u should use javascript to fullscreen your flash. use fscommand for StandAlone Flash player,or projector files. So.. after you have set to full screen your flash, you can set the width and height of the flv video object as equal to the stage width and height.doesn't flash 8 has a tool of media-player on the components??... why do you need Windows Media Player???? :snug:because all of my 300 movies are already encoded as .wmv files and i dont feel like re encoding 900 hours of footage =).HAHaha, i like your analogy.
